Can you feel that chill in the air? Or hear the soft tinkling of jingle bells in the distance? If not, they're both headed your way fast!
The Holidays are mere weeks away and it's a great time to start thinking about participating in a 2011 Jingle Bell Run/Walk. Events are happening throughout the Pacific Northwest, all to benefit the Arthritis Foundation.
The Jingle Bell Run run/walks help support Americans of all ages who suffer the painful restraints of this disorder. For more than 27 years the Jingle Bell Run/Walk has been a holiday highlight supporting life-changing research for arthritis; the nation’s leading cause of disability.
An event guaranteed to be fun for the whole family, activities will include a costume contest with prizes, vendor booths with tasty snacks, pictures with Santa Clause, an Elf Village, a Holiday Cheer Garden, music and much more!
Northwest Cable News is proud to return as co-sponsor in support of the estimated 10,200 residents in Washington, Alaska and Oregon living with arthritis. “Once again, we are proud to be partnered with the Arthritis Foundation. It’s a chance to take the season of giving that ‘extra mile’ by running in the Jingle Bell,” said Wayne Lynch, NWCN News Director.
With over 22,000 participants and $1 million raised last year, the Arthritis Foundation was able to fight for health care policies that improve the lives of millions of Americans, partner with families to provide empowering programs and information and begin to help over 300,000 children with arthritis lead a healthier life.
This year’s goal is to raise over $1.5 million, and we need your help!
