NEWBERG, Ore. - A Newberg man and three other people have been arrested in what police describe as case involving sex crimes against two teenagers, a dog, and a four-year-old.
Newberg-Dundee Police spokesperson Tim Weaver said detectives arrested 44-year-old Darrin Vaughn Daily after a 15-year-old girl came forward alleging Daily had sex with her after given her alcohol and marijuana in early September.
Weaver said detectives obtained a warrant and seized evidence at Daily's home on South River St. in Newberg that led them to a 14-year-old girl who was also allegedly raped.
The 14-year-old told investigators daily took photos of her during the alleged sexual activity. Those photos included pictures of her tied up as well as "occasions involving sexual intercourse with his dog," according to Weaver.
Detectives determined Daily was posting ads on Craigslist inviting other adults to have sex with the 14-year-old.
Forensic investigators seized Daily's computer and "other media storage devices" and reportedly found multiple photographs of the 14-year-old engaged in several different adults as well as other images of her having sex with the dog. Weaver said they also found pictures on the computer of a 4-year-old being sexually abused. Weaver said the toddler is currently in the care of a Child Abuse Assessment Center in McMinnville.
Police tracked down three men who allegedly responded to the ads and are looking for a woman. The men were identified as 34-year-old Robert Dwain Thompson from Portland, 41-year-old David Garcia of McMinnville, and 43-year-old Patricio Moreno from Forest Grove.
Daily is being held in the Yamhill county Jail on multiple counts of sex abuse, rape, and animal sex abuse. He is scheduled to appear before a judge on October 12 at 3 p.m.
Detectives are still looking for the woman accused of responding to the craigslist posting. Anyone who knows more about the case or knows where 31-year-old Alisa Nice, from McMinnville might be should call the Newberg-Dundee Police Department at 503-537-1246.
