Ed returns to his native time zone, if not his home state. A native of Torrance, CA, Ed lived in Redondo Beach, CA until he was 5. Then he moved across the country and grew up in Larchmont, NY.
He made another cross-country trip to get to the Northwest. Before coming to NWCN as a reporter and fill-in weathercaster, Ed worked in Albany, NY, for Capital News 9, also a 24-hour cable station. There he handled reporting, fill-in weather and fill-in anchoring. Before that, Ed worked as a weekend weathercaster and weekday reporter in Portland, ME at WPXT and in Tallahassee, FL at WCTV. He got his break in local TV at KEVN in Rapid City, SD, where he wore several hats around the newsroom: reporter, weathercaster, anchor and producer. Ed also worked behind the scenes at CNN in New York City, while doing news and weather for a public access station, LMC-TV in Mamaroneck, NY. Ed graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY with a degree in English.
Ed is really excited to be in the Northwest and loves all the things there are to do here. When off the job, he enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and golfing. When the weather chases him inside, he likes movies, live music and all kinds of spectator sports (indoor or outdoor). Ed looks forward to exploring the Northwest and uncovering unique and offbeat stories.
