Video: Issaquah man fatally stabbed

ISSAQUAH, Wash. - A 19-year-old Issaquah woman was jailed Friday night in connection with the stabbing death of her boyfriend, police said.

Police say the 21-year-old man was stabbed once in the chest.

The woman dropped him off at the Issaquah branch of Swedish Hospital at roughly 10:20 p.m., where he died from the wound.

Detectives arrested her back at the Windsong Apartments on Front Street, where they found a knife.

Deputy Chief Steve Cozart of the Issaquah Police Department said it's the first murder in Issaquah since 2003, but details on what led up to the stabbing are unclear.

"We believe that she was involved in the stabbing," he said.

The woman is being transported to the King County Jail and will be booked on investigation of 2nd degree murder.

Cozart said she and her boyfriend had a volatile relationship. They have a young child together.

"There is a history of domestic violence calls involving them in our city and other jurisdictions," he said.

Neighbors say the couple hosted several parties at their apartment.
