Mary Loos

Mary Loos is a NorthWest Cable News meteorologist and a member of both the AMS and NWA.

Mary returns to the West after spending three years in East Tennessee experiencing everything from tornadoes to hurricanes. At WBIR in Knoxville she was the morning and noon meteorologist. In addition Mary focused weekly on her other love, movies, by providing reviews of current films and celebrity interviews. So far in her career, she's been able to interview a variety of actors, from Meg Ryan to Matt Damon.

Previously, Mary worked as a morning weather anchor and entertainment reporter at KBCI-TV in Boise, Idaho. There she covered the Hawaiian premiere of “Pearl Harbor,” and the Critic’s Choice Awards. Mary even became an “Insomniac” briefly with Comedy Central’s Dave Attell. Formerly she took to the skies above San Diego as a traffic reporter for KGTV and several radio stations. She was also a deejay for many years, working in a variety of stations and formats.

Mary has been working in the media in some form since high school. She has a B.A. in Communications from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She also holds the Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State.
